2011-08 Venice, a set on Flickr.

Via Flickr:
Small selection of the photo's I took during my stay in Venice (August 2011). Pictures where shot with a Nikon D90 using two different lenses, a Nikon AF-S 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6 and a Nikon AF 50mm 1:1.8. Most of the pictures where shot using aperture priority, auto white balance (a3) and in vivid colors. For more info you can always read the EXIF tags since I left them public. I used ACDSee pro 4.0 to develop the photo's (made some photos a bit darker, cropped, black and white and sometimes some miner adjustment in color saturation), I might be switching to Lightroom in the future, but for now it just feels more intuitive.

This is my first album I post to Flickr, I only own this camera for some weeks now. Since I'm relatively new to photography (although I have owned compact camera's since 2003), I'm still experimenting and while learning the technique of operating a DSLR I'm developing my own style as well. For now I just shoot whatever catches my eye or seems interesting in some way. Trying to get the essence of whatever that was in the picture seems to be the hardest task. As you can see this set includes all different types of photos, close-ups, architecture, wide angle shots, people and so on.

Hope you'll enjoy and feel free to comment.
